Walmart Video Manager updates for Sponsored Videos

Walmart Connect launched new Video Manager features intended to simplify the Sponsored Videos campaigns creation flow and shorten the time from when video assets upload to campaign launch. New Video Manager features updated on Thursday, February 1.

These new Video Manager features will further streamline video uploads for advertisers by:

  • Allow multiple options of video file selection via the upload module.
  • Preview video files and auto-generated closed captions before either are added to your campaign with the video preview feature.
  • Check campaigns that are associated with the specific video file.
  • Gain better insight to help you take effective action with enhanced error messages in video specification validation process.

For advertisers, this will create additional opportunities to launch Sponsored Videos campaigns faster and with improved clarity around video approval guidelines.

Launch details:

New Video Manager features launched in Walmart Advertising Center on February 1, 2024. New expanded video error messages launched in Video Validations Errors table in API workflows on February 1, as well.

All Sponsored Videos advertisers (Managed Serve, Self-serve, API) creating new Sponsored Videos campaigns and using Video Manager for video upload on or after February 1 will automatically be exposed to the new user experience of Video Manager and can benefit from these new features.

Are you (the advertiser) required to take any action?

While it is not required to take any action, it is recommended that advertisers continue creating Sponsored Videos campaigns using the new and enhanced Video Manager.

All new campaigns created on or after February 1 will be automatically exposed to the new user experience and updated Video Manager features, including video previews, the new video upload module and more detailed video error messaging.
